Memories That Could Have Been

Ryu: From time to time questions will pop up, of your character, of who an what you really are. These questions will plague you. Wanting, yearning for a answer. What if I wasn't raised as a orphan? What if she had a normal birth? What if we weren't hated for being what we are? What if people were accepting of our existence. These questions always run through my mind. Like a hunting memory of a life not lived.

Is who we are determined at birth or even before that? Are we destined to live the life we are given? I know we make do with what we have, carving our own path as we grow up but was that really our choice or is choice just an illusion?

We cant help but wonder of "what if's" an "what could of been" when we mostly have experience the worst in life but nothing could be done to change the past for a present that could never exist. The only thing you could do is make what is given to you truly yours. Let not memories of the past, both real or phantom influence who you are and what you want to be. This is the world you are born into an only you can decide which path to live.
